The Ursuline College lacrosse team earned a 22-9 road victory at Urbana University on Sunday afternoon to even their record to 3-3 on the season.

Ursuline did not waste any time getting their offense getting when sophomore
Cydney Bartlett found the back of the net on a pass from freshman
Abigail Neeley to make it 1-0. Less than a minute later, freshman
Hayley Mazreku scored an unassisted goal to make it 2-0.

Urbana answered back with three unanswered goals of their own to take a 3-2 lead before Bartlett added a goal on a pass from junior
Grace Savage to even things up at three apiece. Junior
Maddie Kipp got in on the scoring in the 16
th minute to make it 4-3.

The Arrows led 7-6 late in the first half, before Mazreku, Kipp and Bartlett closed the half with three unanswered goals to give Ursuline a 10-7 edge at the break.

Ursuline tightened up the defense in the second half and Bartlett scored two early goals to start the second half to build a 12-7 lead. Junior
Anika Aberegg scored to make it 13-7 and Kipp quickly added another goal to make it 14-7.

In total, Ursuline outscored Urbana 12-2 in the second half to pick up its third win of the season.

Bartlett finished the game with eight goals while Mazreku added six. Kipp totaled three goals while Aberegg finished with two.

The Arrows outshot the Knights 35-21 on the game and forced 27 turnovers while committing 22. Ursuline edged Urbana 22-17 on groundballs.

Ursuline will travel to the College of Wooster on Thursday, March 24 for a match starting at 4:00 PM.Â
