HOW WE GOT HERE The Ursuline Arrows advanced to their first-ever NCAA tournament by winning the Great Midwest Athletic Conference tournament over Cedarville 72-65. This is the first year that the G-MAC was eligible for an automatic bid and first-ever tournament appearance for Ursuline.
The Ashland Eagles earned the #1 overall seed in the Midwest Region after finishing the season 30-1 and winning the GLIAC Tournament 70-53 over Grand Valley State. Ashland is 14-4 all-time in the NCAA tournament and won the National Championship in 2013 after being runner-up in 2012.
SCOUTING URSULINE The Arrows enter play as the nation's fourth highest scoring offense at 84.0 points per game. On the road this season, Ursuline is 10-1 with their lone loss coming on the road at Tiffin at the buzzer in late November.
Ursuline is led in scoring by sophomore
Camryn Hill, an all-G-MAC First Team selection, who is averaging 14.8 points per game and 8.8 rebounds. Hill has posted 11 double-doubles on the season and is shooting 50 percent from the field (155-of-309) and 46 percent (48-of-105) from behind-the-arc. Sophomore
Laney Lewis was selected First Team All-G-MAC and was also named the G-MAC Player of the Year. Lewis is averaging 12.9 points per game and 10.9 rebounds per game and is the only player in the G-MAC averaging a double-double.

SCOUTING ASHLAND Ashland is 30-1 on the season and a perfect 17-0 on its home floor. The lone Eagles loss came back in early February to Walsh, who Ashland later eliminated from the GLIAC Tournament. Ashland is scoring 76.8 points per game while allowing just 58.5 points.
The Eagles are led in scoring by Andi Daugherty who is averaging 15.6 points per game and Laina Snyder who scores 15.2 points per game. McKenzie Miller is a threat from behind-the-arc with 54 makes and is averaging 8.7 points per game.
RECORD SETTING SEASON Ursuline set a record this season for wins with 25 and also most consecutive wins 12 (current). The Arrows captured their first-ever G-MAC regular season and tournament championships. The 84.0 points per game in a season is the most-ever by an Ursuline team.
G-MAC RECOGNITION Ursuline Head Coach
Shannon Sword was named the G-MAC Coach of the Year for the first time after leading the team to 25 wins this season. Freshman
Brigan Wymer was named the G-MAC Freshman of the Year while
Laney Lewis was selected as the conference's Player of the Year.
Lewis along with
Camryn Hill and
Erica Huber were selected to the First Team All-Conference while Wymer picked up Second Team honors.
ROAD TESTED While the Arrows have been impressive at home this season, they have been equally as strong on the road. Ursuline is 10-1 away from the Seidman Gymnasium in 2015-2016 with the loss coming at Tiffin early in the season at the buzzer.
DOUBLE TROUBLE The post combination of
Laney Lewis and
Camryn Hill have combined for 25 double-doubles this season and Lewis is the only player in the G-MAC to finish the regular season averaging a double-double.
BALANCED ATTACK The Arrows offense features five players who all are averaging in double figures this season.
Camryn Hill leads the team in scoring with 14.8 points per game while
Brigan Wymer (14.4),
Erica Huber (13.4),
Laney Lewis (12.9) and
Natalie Koenig (12.5) all post double digit scoring totals.
