The Ursuline College basketball team will open the 2016-17 home schedule on Saturday afternoon against Saginaw Valley State University at 2:00.

The Arrows have started the season 3-0 with road wins over Wayne State, Ferris State and most recently Clarion on Wednesday.

Saginaw Valley opened the season with a 77-46 win over Wisconsin-Parkside on November 12 and followed that win up with a 77-62 victory of Saint Joseph's (IN.) the next day.

The Cardinals are paced by senior post player Emily Wendling who is averaging 16.0 points per game to go along with 6.5 rebounds. Also, senior guard Katelyn Carriere has averaged 20.0 points per game over the first two contests.

Ursuline features a balanced attack on offense with at least four players in double figures scoring in the first three games.

Laney Lewis is averaging a double-double with 13.3 points per game and 13 rebounds. Lewis nearly had a triple-double against Clarion on Wednesday, finishing with 12 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists.

Natalie Koenig are averaging 12 per night as well.

Ursuline has won 15 straight regular season games and 11 in a row at home since a loss last season to Cedarville.

The Arrows will head back on the road on Tuesday as they travel to Painsville to take on Lake Erie College in a 7:00pm tip off.
