The Ursuline College basketball team will continue their road trip to start the season with a trip to Clarion, Pennsylvania on Wednesday evening.
 
The Arrows are coming off back-to-back wins over Wayne State (78-73) and Ferris State (91-61) at the Bulldog Classic hosted by Ferris State last weekend.
 
Friday's opener saw Ursuline place four players in double figures led by juniors Laney Lewis and Camryn Hill who finished with 17 points each. Lewis also had 10 rebounds, five assists and was 8-for-13 from the field while playing all 40 minutes.
 
Sophomore Natalie Koenig finished with 15 points and also pulled down eight rebounds and dished out five assists and senior Erica Huber added 11 points and six rebounds.
 
On Sunday, the Arrows knocked off the host Bulldogs 91-61 to complete the weekend. Huber scored a season-high 24 points on 6-for-11 shooting including a perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line. Sophomore Brigan Wymer added 17 points while Hill and Lewis both finished with 11 points. Lewis also posted her second-straight double-double.
 
The Arrows shot 47 percent as a team on the weekend from the field and 39 percent from behind the three-point line.
 
Clarion opened their season on the road as well with a 69-54 loss to Fairmont State. Tyra Polite led the Golden Eagles with 15 points on 5-for-19 shooting including 3-for-10 from three. Clarion bounced back on Saturday to knock off Concord 87-56 to improve to 1-1. Polite once again led the Eagles in scoring with 15 points on 6-for-11 from the field.
 
The two teams last met in Pepper Pike last December to close out 2015. The Arrows won 89-69 led by an 18-point performance from Hill while Huber added 16 and Lewis 14 in the win. Ursuline shot 52 percent from the field and were 12-for-20 from three in the contest.
 
The Golden Eagles won the last match-up in Pennsylvania back in 2014 66-54.
 
Ursuline will open up the home portion of the 2016-17 schedule on Saturday, November 19 when they will host Saginaw Valley State University (MI.). Tip-off is set for 2:00 PM and can be viewed live on ursulinearrows.com.
