PEPPER PIKE, Ohio-- The Ursuline Arrows volleyball team finished off an impressive opening weekend with a pair of 3-0 wins on Saturday afternoon at the West Chester Tournament held at West Chester University in Pennslyvania. 

In the first match, Ursuline defeated Goldy-Beacom College (DE) 25-19 in the first game and took the final two games both by 25-14 counts. 

Senior Abbie Fabo led the Arrows with 12 kills in the opener while junior Emily Adkinson had seven and fellow junior Emily Loftus added five. Adkinson also chipped in four blocks while freshmen Katelyn Selleny racked up 24 assists. 

Fabo and Sabrina Kinney both finished with a match high 10 digs each and Sammi Marcum added nine. 

In match number two of the day, Ursuline ran away form Bowie State (MD) in the first set with a dominating 25-8 performance. The Arrows took the second set 25-12 and finished the sweep off with a 25-17 final set. 

Adkinson and Fabo led both sides with 12 kills and Fabo also added 12 digs to her season total. 

The Arrows will head out on the road on Tuesday, September 8 when they travel to Urbana. The match is set to begin at 7pm.
