The Ursuline College volleyball team earned a 3-1 win over visiting Davis & Elkins on Friday night in the G-MAC opener. The win was also the first win in the new Sister Diana Stano Athletic Center that opened this season. 

The Arrows (4-10, 1-0) came out on the attack in the first set and and built a 13-6 lead before the Senators cut into the deficit and made it 13-10. Ursuline responded by scoring the next four points to build a 17-10 lead en route to taking the first set 25-20. 

D&E answered back in the second with a 25-19 win to even the match at 1-1 headed to the third set. The Arrows were determined to get their first home win and took the third set 25-20 before closing out the match in the fourth set 25-18. 

Ursuline was led by senior Abbie Fabo and sophomore Courtney Burns who each had 11 kills. Senior Elise Harcek added seven Kills for Ursuline while freshman Katelyn Selleny tallied 39 assists. 

The Arrows have a quick turnaround as tomorrow afternoon they will play host to Alderson Broaddus at 1pm. The Battlers opened up their conference slate with a 3-1 loss at Cedarville on Friday night.
