The Ursuline College volleyball team dropped the opener at the University of Findlay tournament 3-1 against the host Oilers on Thursday afternoon. 

Findlay(3-2), who will join the G-MAC at the start of the 2017-18 season, fell behind eary as the Arrows (3-3) jumped out to a 3-0 lead. The Oilers responding by winning the next three points and the two squads would go back and forth until Findlay scored five straight to build a 17-11 lead en route to winning the first set 25-16. 

The Oilers took the second set 25-13 before the Arrows won the third set 25-20. Ursuline broke a 10-10 tie in the third and did not trail again in the set. Findlay won the fourth and deciding set 25-21. 

Juniors Emily Adkinson and Emily Loftus led the Arrows in kills with 9 each while senior Elise Harcek had eight. Freshman Katelyn Selleny finished the match with 32 assists and senior Sabrina Kinney led the team with 14 digs. 

Ursuline will meet another future member of the G-MAC on Friday afternoon when they take on Hillsdale at 2pm. Hillsdale did not play yesterday but will play Mercyhurst at 9:30am.
