Box Score v. Kentucky Wesleyan // Box Score v. Cedarville

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Ursuline College tennis team advanced to the semifinal round of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championships but unfortunately, that's where the run ended.

One year after being bounced by KWC by a score of 7-0 in the opening round of the 2014 G-MAC Tournament, Ursuline returned the favor with a 5-3 victory over the fourth-seeded Panthers to set up a semifinal match against top seed and host Cedarville University (14-8, 7-0 G-MAC).

The Lady Jackets knocked off Ursuline, 5-0, to advance to Saturday's (April 25) 10:00 a.m. title match against Davis & Elkins College.

UC ends the season with a record of 2-9.

Against KWC, G-MAC Freshman of the Year Roslyn Ng took care of Danielle Hadler (6-2, 6-2) at first singles. Ng's classmate Amanda Popik had no problem with Krislyn Hudson (6-0, 6-1) and then UC's potent duo teamed together to win first doubles over Hadler and Hudson, 8-4.

Kentucky Wesleyan only brought five players so the other two points in UC's quarterfinal win came via forfeit at sixth singles and third doubles.

Cedarville won all three doubles matches 8-0 and then had victories and second and third singles when the match was called.
