Pepper Pike, OH--The Ursuline College tennis team opened its 2026-27 season at the Wooster Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. 

In the first round of doubles competition, the teams of Giavonna Victor and Gabriella Montez and Abigail Cepek and Kay Lee Romero each fell 6-1. Emily Bialkowski and Caroline Ramming dropped their match, 6-2. 

The Arrows faced another tough round in doubles competition. Victor and Montez and Cepek and Romero were each defeated 6-0, while Paris Hirsch and Ramming fell 6-2. 

In the third round, Victor and Cepek dropped their match 6-3. Montez and Romero and Hirsch and Bialkowski each fell 6-0. 

Ursuline also competed in singles play, facing Wooster in the opening round. The Arrows dropped each match in straight sets, with Cepek, Bialkowski and Montez recording the team's closest sets at 6-2. 

In the second round of singles competition, Ursuline faced Oberlin and fell in straight sets. Ramming did not complete her match after her Oberlin opponent retired. 

Up next: The Arrows return to action Saturday, Sept. 26, when they host Waynesburg at 12 p.m. in Pepper Pike.
