PEPPER PIKE, Ohio - The Ursuline College tennis team wrapped up the regular season with three conference matches this weekend. Unfortunately, the Arrows were on the wrong end all three times.

UC lost to Alderson Broaddus University by a score of 5-4 on Friday (April 17) afternoon and then lost twice to Davis & Elkins College, 8-1 and 5-1, on Saturday (April 18). The Arrows and Senators played twice in Pepper Pike after the match in Elkins, W. Va. was rained out earlier this season.

The Arrows finished the regular season at 1-8 overall and 1-7 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Ursuline will be the fifth-seed in this weekend's G-MAC Tournament and will open with fourth-seeded Kentucky Wesleyan College at 9:00 a.m. on Friday (April 24) in Cedarville.

Against ABU, freshman Roslyn Ng defeated Mireia Fabrega in first singles, 6-1, 6-0. Ng then teamed with her classmate Amanda Popik to defeat Fabrega and Adalou Farris by a score of 8-5 in first doubles. The Battlers only brought five student-athletes so UC won sixth singles and third doubles via forfeit.

Junior Caitlin Seese picked up a victory in fourth singles in the morning match against Davis & Elkins on Saturday. She beat Taylor Eperson 6-2, 6-2.

Ng and Popik accounted for UC's point in the afternoon match against the Senators. That duo beat Amanda Fewster and Sandra Chindalo, 8-6.
