Tennis Falls to Red-Hot Cedarville in First True Home Match

PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – The Ursuline College tennis team fell to Cedarville University by a score of 9-0 on Saturday (April 11) afternoon.

Ursuline is now 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference while the Yellow Jackets, winners in seven straight, improved to 10-8 overall and 5-0 in conference play.

Freshman Roslyn Ng (4-1) suffered her first collegiate loss at No. 1 singles. She took the first set 6-1 over Lily Schuler but dropped the second by a score of 6-4. Ng had three points in the tiebreaker that Schuler ultimately won in what was the best match of the day.

The Arrows will take a quick break from G-MAC competition on Wednesday (April 15) when they host Geneva College at 4:00 p.m. After that, UC has three straight home conference matches to conclude the regular season.
