CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ursuline College lost its final regular season road game by a score of 71-58 at #22 Cedarville University on Thursday (Feb. 26) night.

The loss snapped Ursuline's five-game winning streak and dropped the Arrows to 8-19 overall and 6-9 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Cedarville, winners in four straight, concludes the regular season at 25-3 overall and 15-1 in conference play.

Cedarville was tied for 22nd in the latest USA TODAY Division II Women's Basketball Top 25 Coaches Poll - and the Yellow Jackets showed why. CU allowed Ursuline to hit just five three-pointers on Thursday night after UC hit at least 12 threes in each of their last four games. The Arrows were credited with just five assists which tied a season-low.

Ursuline was charged with 16 turnovers while Cedarville gave the ball away 10 times. The Arrows did out-rebound the Yellow Jackets, 42-39.

Freshman Camryn Hill did a terrific job on the glass and pulled down six offensive boards. As a team, UC had 16 offensive rebounds which led to 24 second chance points.

Sophomore guard Erica Huber led UC with 16 points and Hill chipped in 12 to go with nine boards. Freshman forward Madison Schroeder scored nine points but no other Arrow had more than five.

Cedarville's Raegan Ryan, who figures to be the G-MAC Player of the Year, scored 25 on her Senior Night to lead all scorers. Kayla Linkous helped the cause with 15 points on 6-10 shooting.

Ursuline hit just one of its 12 three-point attempts in the first half to go into the intermission down 27-21. UC's biggest lead of the game was one and that came with 8:48 to go in the opening period. Cedarville built its lead to 18 at one point late in the second half before settling on the 13-point final margin.

The Arrows will close the regular season on Saturday (Feb. 28) when they host Central State University (10-16, 6-9 G-MAC) at Notre Dame College's Murphy Gymnasium at 8:00 p.m. Prior to the game, seniors Emma Ricketts and Brianna Woods will be honored as part of 'Senior Night' festivities.

Max Radigan will call the second meeting between the Arrows and the Marauders on the Ursuline College Sports Network. When these two teams got together in early December, UC won a 91-88 thriller in overtime.

With a win, the Arrows would secure their spot in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference postseason tournament.
