Become a fan of Ursuline Basketball on FacebookWILBERFORCE, Ohio - Five Arrows scored in double figures to help Ursuline College take down Wilberforce University, 101-66, on Thursday (Feb. 19) night. The win was UC's fifth straight and set a new school record.
It was the second straight game the Arrows went over the century mark. During the five-game winning streak, UC is averaging 88.6 points per game thanks in large part to 61 three-pointers.
Freshman forward Madison Schroeder notched her fourth career double-double with a 13-point, 10-rebound performance. Senior forward Emma Ricketts scored a game-high 19 points on 8-9 shooting from the floor and also pulled down seven boards.
Freshman guard Kristen Curtis hit four three-pointers on her way to a career-high 14 points. Freshmen guards Camille Gist (13) and Makayla Rosselot (12) also scored in double figures.
Senior guard Brianna Woods and sophomore guard Erica Huber combined for 12 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds. Freshman forward Camryn Hill and sophomore guard Delayne Seigla each chipped in eight points and did a nice job on the glass. Hill had six rebounds and Seigla was credited with a career-high five boards.
Freshman guard Kylie Owoc accounted for UC's other two points as she hit a bucket in her 10 minutes of action.
Kendra Moss led Wilberforce with 14 points while Brittani Thomas had 11 and Cortland Mullins chipped in 10.
The Arrows outrebounded the Bulldogs 46-34 but Ursuline committed seven more turnovers (18-11) than Wilberforce.
