Despite Fogel's best efforts, UC came up short against the host Yellow Jackets (95-35) and Olivet College (88-32).
Ursuline, with just two student-athletes competing, dropped to 0-8 in head-to-head matchups while Defiance and Olivet ended the day at 4-7 and 1-7, respectively.
Fogel won the 100 back in 1:08.93 and the next closest competitor, Defiance's Kaylee Cook, finished in 1:10.42. She also was the first to touch in the hotly-contested 100 breast. Fogel hit the wall at 1:15.39 to finish just in front of Defiance's Madeline Homan (1:15.46) and Olivet's Jazmin Johnson (1:15.66).
Jazmin Johnson won the 50 free in 25.86 and Fogel was the runner-up with a time of 27.99.
Fogel's classmate Hannah Jorz had a pair of fourth place finishes in the 100 free (1:09.74) and 200 free (2:26.44) to go with a sixth place finish in the 100 back (1:20.12).
