SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Ursuline College lacrosse team fell behind early and never could climb back up the hill on Friday (March 21) evening at Notre Dame College as the host Falcons won the non-conference showdown by a final score of 19-1.
The Arrows are now 1-1 overall while Notre Dame improved to 3-4 with the victory.
A Darbie Barkman goal with 6:25 left in the first period put the Falcons up 9-0 before UC got on the board when freshman Anika Aberegg scored to cut into the deficit with 6:01 remaining in the first half.
NDC tacked on two more goals before the break and won the second half 8-0 to earn the victory. The Falcons were credited with 33 shots, 28 more than the Arrows.
Freshman goalkeeper Lauren Cole made nine saves and was peppered with shots all afternoon.
The Arrows will take tomorrow off before visiting
