NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio – The Ursuline College tennis team started the 2014 campaign with a 9-0 loss to Baldwin Wallace University indoors at North Ridge Racquet Club on Saturday (Feb. 8) afternoon.

The Yellow Jackets are now 2-2 overall after a 1-1 fall season.

Senior Alex Leister and sophomore Kayla Wayts both lost 6-0, 6-1 at first and second singles, respectively.

Sophomore Caitlin Seese and seniors Dee Erazo and Erin Burke were turned away in straight sets in their singles matches.

Leister and Wayts teamed together at first singles and came up short, 8-6, to Mackenzie Baker and Claire Watts while Seese and Erazo were on the wrong end of an 8-0 outcome at second doubles.

With only five active players on the roster, the Arrows forfeited sixth singles and third doubles.

Ursuline is not scheduled to compete again until a March 14th match against Davis & Elkins College. The location and time are yet to be announced, but check back at UrsulineArrows.com for details closer to the match.
