Arrows Go to Nashville and Sweep Trojans in G-MAC Contest

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Ursuline College volleyball team went on the road and swept Trevecca University on Friday (Nov. 7) night. Set scores were 25-20, 25-22 and 25-20.

With the win, the Arrows improved to 17-7 overall and 8-3 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference while Trevecca fell to 15-14 and 6-5 in conference play.

Junior Abbie Fabo had a team-high 10 kills and 15 digs to pick up her ninth double-double of the season. Senior setter Molly Hilfinger, who drew the praise of Trevecca head coach Jayme Crowley in the postgame interview, reached double figures in both assists (36) and digs (12) while also contributing seven kills. She now has a team-best 10 double-doubles.

Sophomore Makayla Windau and junior Elise Harcek were both created with nine kills. Windau also had 11 digs, the fourth most on the team behind Fabo, Hilfinger and classmate Sammi Marcum (12).

Sophomore Emily Adkinson had seven kills and freshman Courtney Burns chipped in four. Senior Brittany Kempf joined juniors Jaclyn Brandt and Sabrina Kinney on the list of Arrows who contributed on the defensive end.

No Trojan had more than Zakia Jackson's eight kills. Loren Bennett led Trevecca with 25 assists and 20 digs.

Ursuline hit .207 compared to Trevecca's .085. The Arrows had six blocks and the Trojans had four.

The Arrows will conclude the regular season tomorrow with a match at Kentucky Wesleyan College. The action will start at 1:00 p.m. Eastern and will be covered with free live stats.
