PAINESVILLE, Ohio – Sophomore guard Delayne Seigla scored a career-high 12 points but it wasn't enough as Ursuline College fell to Walsh University, 78-53, on Wednesday (Nov. 19) night.

The Arrows are now 0-3 on the young year while Walsh is 3-0 after beating three teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.

Ursuline trailed 37-28 at halftime and the Cavaliers scored the first two buckets of the second half to build a 13-point (41-28) lead. From that point on, the Arrows never got within 11 and Walsh led by as many as 29 before settling on the 25-point margin.

Kelsey Funderburgh was three of five from beyond the arc to lead Walsh with 16 points while Jalynn Graham chipped in 11 to go with five assists and four boards. Audrey Badovick had 11 points and Brooklyn Wooten was the other Cavalier in double figures with 10.

Seigla, who had a previous career-high of eight points, had her big night Wednesday on 4-5 three-point shooting while her classmate and backcourt mate Erica Huber had 10 points.

The Arrows turned the ball over 27 times and that led to 35 Cavalier points. On the flipside, Walsh turned it over just 10 times resulting in nine UC points.

Walsh pulled down one more rebound than Ursuline (36-35) but 13 offensive rebounds led to 18 second chance points for the Cavaliers.

The Arrows play at Clarion University on Sunday (Nov. 23) at 2:00 p.m. The Clarion Sports Information Department will provide free live audio and free live stats.

After tonight's loss to the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, the Golden Eagles will enter Sunday with an identical record of 0-3.
