COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ursuline College basketball team lost to Ashland University, 83-43, in the second and final game of the G-MAC/GLIAC Challenge.

Ashland improved to 1-1 overall while Ursuline starts its season 0-2.

Senior Brianna Woods led UC with 10 points and her classmate Emma Ricketts had six, as did freshman guard Makayla Rosselot.

Suzy Wollenhaupt had a game-high 20 points on 8-13 shooting and Laina Snyder scored 15 points to go with 15 boards.

Ashland had a big lead in the rebounding department, 65-29.

It was a 35-19 game at halftime but the Eagles came out of the gates with 12-0 run to widen the gap to 28 and they never looked back.

Ursuline will host Walsh University on Wednesday (Nov. 19) at 5:30 p.m. at Lake Erie College's Jerome T. Osborne Family Athletic and Wellness Center. Free live stats and free live audio will be available.
