SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio - The Ursuline College volleyball team was turned back by Cedarville University, the top team in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, in a hotly-contested five set thriller on 'Senior Night' at Hathaway Brown School.

Throughout the course of the match there were 26 ties and 12 lead changes.

The Arrows won the first set 25-22 before the Yellow Jackets took the next two, 25-20 and 25-23. Ursuline forced a deciding set with a 25-19 triumph in the fourth game but Cedarville won the clincher by a count of 15-10.

Ursuline is now 15-7 overall and 6-3 in conference play while Cedarville, winners in four straight, improved to 18-12 and 10-1 in the G-MAC. With the win, the Yellow Jackets clinched the regular season title and earned the right to host the conference's postseason tournament.

Junior Abbie Fabo had a double-double, her eighth of the year, with a team-high 14 kills and 16 digs. Senior Molly Hilfinger, who was honored with Brittany Kempf prior to the match, racked up her ninth double-double (19th of her career) with 37 assists and a team-best 18 digs.

Sophomore Emily Adkinson had a nice night with 11 kills and four solo blocks. Junior Elise Harcek was also extremely active at the net and she too had four solo blocks.

Cedarville was led by the trio of Hannah Wagner, Tori Thompson and Amanda Bell - a group that combined for 59 points. Wagner had 26 kills (.396) while Thompson and Bell each chipped in 14. Bell also added 13 digs.

Maddie Ledbetter dished out 44 assists and Kristin Cardwell had 27 as the Yellow Jackets hit .192.

The Arrows will host their final "home" match of the season tomorrow (Nov. 1) against Central State University. That contest will start at 2:00 p.m. at Hathaway Brown School's Corrigan-Daniels Athletic Center. All of the action will be covered with free live stats and free live audio.

It will be the final time Ursuline has to play a "home" game away from campus as the new athletic center will be ready in time for next season.
