Swimming Team Loses to Lake Erie and Saginaw Valley

Lake Erie/Saginaw Valley Tri-Meet Results
 
GENEVA, Ohio – The Ursuline College swim team came up short against Lake Erie College and Saginaw Valley State University on Friday (Oct. 24) night at a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tri-meet that was held at the SPIRE Institute.

The Arrows are now 0-4 on the young year.

Freshman Reagan Meyers took second in both the 100 (1:15.79) and 200 (2:49.85) breaststroke events and then placed fourth in the 50 free with a time of 27.11.

Sophomore Rachael Fogel was the third quickest both the 100 fly (1:07.85) and the 200 IM (2:26.17) and she tacked on a fourth place finish in the 200 free (2:08.84).

Fogel's classmate Hannah Jorz had a third place finish in the 100 back (1:16.08) to go with a pair of fourth place touches in the 100 (1:05.65) and 500 (6:04.32) free.

Junior Nichole Shake placed sixth with a time of 29.86 in the 50 free, her lone individual race of the night.

That quartet teamed together to place third in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 2:08.59. Saginaw Valley State won the only relay race of the night in 1:53.76 and Lake Erie covered the distance in 2:00.17.

The Arrows are idle from competition until Nov. 7 when they will swim against Hiram College and Malone University at Hiram's Alumni Memorial Pool.
