Follow Ursuline Athletics on FacebookEDINBORO, Pa. - The Ursuline College volleyball team came up on the wrong end of a hotly-contested match at Edinboro University on Wednesday (Oct. 15) night. The Fighting Scots won the three-setter 25-14, 25-23, 25-23.
With the loss, Ursuline fell to 13-4 overall while Edinboro picked up its fourth straight win and improved to 18-6.
UC sophomore Emily Adkinson, the nation's leader in hitting percentage, had a team-high nine kills while junior Abbie Fabo had seven and a team-high 10 digs.
Adkinson's classmate Makayla Windau had five kills, junior Elise Harcek had four and freshman Courtney Burns chipped in three.
Senior setter Molly Hilfinger, who had a pair of kills herself, was credited with 25 assists.
Harcek had UC's lone solo block and was active at the net all night with seven blocking assists.
Marah Maycock led EU with nine kills to go with 11 digs.
The Arrows resume Great Midwest Athletic Conference play on Friday (Oct. 17) at
Davis & Elkins College. That match starts at 1:00 p.m. and will be covered with
free live stats.
