Ursuline 3, Le Moyne 0
Last year, Le Moyne College came to Pepper Pike and took care of the Arrows in three sets. That was one of Le Moyne's 16 wins a season ago but just 364 days later, the Arrows returned the favor by knocking off the 4-1 Dolphins in three games: 25-17, 25-19 and 25-18.
In the first set, Ursuline had five runs of at least three consecutive points. The Arrows led 22-14 before the Dolphins rattled off three straight points to come within five. The Dolphins committed a service error before back-to-back attack errors ended the first set. In total, Le Moyne was charged with 11 errors in the first stanza compared to just three Ursuline miscues.
The second set went back and forth before the teams eventually came to a deadlock at 10-10. Ursuline then took seven of the next eight points to build a 17-11 lead that was never in jeopardy.
UC trailed by as many as five in the third game but clawed its way back to even things up at 14-14 and then again at 16-16. From that point on, Ursuline outscored the host 9-3 to clinch its second victory of the season.
The Arrows bested the Dolphins in almost every single category, including kills (36-31), hitting percentage (.267-.101), assists (34-30), service aces (8-3), digs (44-37) and blocks (6-3).
Sophomore Abbie Fabo and senior Alex Leister led Ursuline with nine kills each, most of which were set up by junior Molly Hilfinger. The Owens Community College transfer was credited with 30 assists in Saturday's first match.
Defensively, Leister had 11 digs and junior Kelly Stenger was credited with 10.

Ursuline 3, Bloomfield 0
Behind 13 kills from senior Alex Leister and 10 more from Emily Adkinson, the Ursuline College volleyball team took care of Bloomfield College in straight sets. Set scores were 25-19, 25-21 and 25-12.
Junior setter Molly Hilfinger passed out 24 assists and redshirt sophomore Kelley Plas chipped in nine as the Arrows hit .215 as a team, compared to Bloomfield's .040.
In the third set, the two teams were tied at eight before Ursuline took the next five points to build a 13-8 lead. Bloomfield took two of the next three points but the Arrows put together eight straight to get within three of clinching. Bloomfield got to within 10 at 22-12 but Ursuline put any hope of a comeback to bed by winning the next three points.
