Match Results vs. Geneva College
BEAVER FALLS, Pa. – The Arrows were trailing Monday’s (April 8) match to host Geneva College by a score of 5-1 when Mother Nature struck and washed out the rest of play.
Still, the match is considered official and the Arrows slide to 0-5 overall. Geneva is a Division III school so tennis is classified as a fall sport and records are not kept during the spring portion of the season.
Ursuline’s win came at second doubles when juniors Alex Leister and Ashley Reinhart – as they have done so many times on the volleyball court – worked together to earn an 8-2 victory.
Senior Betsy Edwards appeared to be well on her way to a victory at first singles as she led Geneva's Julie Kline 4-0 before the match was called off.
These two teams will meet again next Monday (April 15) in Pepper Pike.
Ursuline is scheduled to return to action on Friday (April 12) when conference foe
Central State University visits Pepper Pike for a 1:00 p.m. match. On Saturday (April 13), the Arrows will host G-MAC rival
Cedarville University. That match will also at 1:00 p.m.
