Box Score vs. Ohio Valley / Box Score vs. Kentucky Christian

VIENNA, W. Va. – The Ursuline College volleyball team went two-for-two at Saturday's (Nov. 9) Ohio Valley University Tri-Match, making it four times this season that the Arrows won more than one match in a day after winning seven matches all of last season.
The Arrows defeated conference foe Ohio Valley in five before sweeping Kentucky Christian University. UC won the first two sets against OVU (25-23, 25-16) before dropping the next two (25-16, 25-19) and then claiming the clincher, 15-10. Set scores against KCU were 25-14, 25-11 and 25-18.
Ursuline is now 18-14 overall and 6-6 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. With the loss to UC, the host Fighting Scots fell to 14-20 and 4-8 in the G-MAC while Kentucky Christian slipped to 26-10 overall.
Senior Alex Leister led Ursuline with a combined 22 kills on Saturday, two more than freshman Makayla Windau. Junior setter Molly Hilfinger finished the day with 19 kills, including a career-high 14 against Ohio Valley, and 57 assists to go along with 20 digs.
In the match against OVU, Hilfinger notched a triple-double (14 kills, 28 assists, 12 digs) while Leister (10 kills, 21 digs) and Windau (10 kills, 12 digs) recorded double-doubles, representing the second time this season that three UC players reached double digits in two different categories.
Against KCU, Windau had 10 kills and 14 digs to notch the fifth double-double of her young career.
Defensively, junior Kelly Stenger led the Arrows with a combined 33 digs and sophomore Jaclyn Brandt chipped in 10 against Kentucky Christian.
Ursuline has its final non-conference match of the season on deck with a Tuesday (Nov. 12) visit to
