Box Score

SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio – On 'Senior Day,' senior Molly Sabolsky tied her career-high with nine kills and her classmate Alex Leister added 13 more to go with 10 digs as the Arrows swept Trevecca Nazarene University on Saturday (Nov. 2) afternoon. Set scores were 25-23, 25-21 and 25-22.

The Arrows are now 16-14 overall and 5-6 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference while TNU dips to 14-11 and 5-6 in the G-MAC. The 16th win by this year's team is the second most in program history. Only the 2007 team that went 20-17 has had more success.

As a team, Ursuline hit .255, a percentage greater than TNU's .169. Katelyn Atkinson did have 20 kills to lead the Trojans but no other TNU student-athlete had more than seven.

UC junior setter Molly Hilfinger was credited with 38 assists, one fewer than TNU's team. The 38 assists were five more than she has had in any other match that was decided in three. She also posted 11 digs for her seventh double-double of the season and her eight kills also equaled her career-high.

Leister's 13 kill, 10 dig performance was her third straight double-double. She is now tied with Hilfinger for the team lead with seven.

Not to be outdone by the upperclassmen, freshmen Emily Adkinson and Makayla Windau combined for 16 kills while junior Kelly Stenger had 20 digs and sophomore Jaclyn Brandt chipped in 14.

The Arrows are idle from competition until next Saturday (Nov. 9) when they head to Vienna, West Virginia, to participate in the Ohio Valley University Tri-Match. UC will battle conference foe and host OVU at 10:00 a.m. and finish the day with an 11:30 a.m. contest against Kentucky Christian University. When Ohio Valley visited Northeast Ohio on Oct. 19, the Arrows beat the Fighting Scots in straight sets.
