PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Ursuline College volleyball team had its three-match winning streak snapped at Lake Erie College on Tuesday (Nov. 12) night. The Arrows were turned back by the Storm in three sets: 25-23, 25-18 and 25-22.
UC is now 18-15 overall while Lake Erie ended its 14-match losing streak and improved to 2-24.
Freshmen Emily Adkinson and Makayla Windau each had eight kills to lead the club. Junior setter Molly Hilfinger passed out 31 assists and collected 13 digs to earn her ninth double-double of the season.
Junior libero Kelly Stenger had 20 digs, seven more than senior Alex Leister.
Molly Richardson led the Storm with 14 kills and her teammate Jamie Hoppe had 10. Setters Samantha Knepley (18) and Mallory Gustincic (17) combined for 35 helpers and Hoppe also had a team-high 14 kills, two more than Kathryn Ferry.
The Arrows will close the regular season with a pair of conference matches this weekend, starting with a Friday (Nov. 15) evening showdown at
Alderson Broaddus University. That match will start at 6:00 p.m. and will be covered with
