Tiffin Tri-Meet Results

TIFFIN, Ohio – The Ursuline College swimming team opened the 2013-14 season by coming up on the wrong end against Tiffin University and Defiance College at Saturday's (Oct. 12) Tiffin Tri-Meet. The Arrows lost to the host Dragons 55-39 while also coming up short to Defiance, 42-39.
Freshman Rachael Fogel was a huge bright spot for Ursuline as she won her first three collegiate races. The rookie won the 50 free in 27.31, 1.44 seconds ahead of the next closest competitor. She also won the 100 fly (1:08.65) and then dominated the 500 free, winning by more than 21 seconds after she touched in 5:59.09.
Senior Allie Butta was victorious in the 200 free with a time of 2:21.93 with the second place finisher touching in 2:25.95. She also took second in the 100 free (1:03.74) and 100 breast (1:15.19) events.
Freshman Hannah Jorz debuted with second place finishes in the 100 free (12:48.69) and 100 back (1:14.85) and a third place finish in the 200 IM (2:47.28).
The Arrows will compete again next Saturday (Oct. 19) at 1:00 p.m. at the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford Panther Relays. Last year, UC took fifth at the Panther Relays.
