PEPPER PIKE, Ohio – The Arrows pushed Mercyhurst University (12-1) to four sets but lost the match to the visiting Lakers on Tuesday night.
The Lakers won the first set 25-20 before Ursuline bounced back with a 26-24 victory to even things up. Mercyhurst won the final two sets, 25-17 and 25-16, to clinch the match.
Ursuline slid to 1-12 while Mercyhurst won its 12th straight match to jump to 12-1.
Juniors Alex Leister and Maureen Kelly both had eight digs while Ashley Reinhart dished out 21 assists and Kelly Stenger was credited with 20 digs.
After three matches at home, the Arrows will be on the road this weekend. Ursuline takes on
Central State University at 8:00 p.m. on Friday (Sep. 21) night. On Saturday (Sep. 22), the Arrows are at the
University of Northwestern Ohio’s tri-match. Ursuline battles
Indiana University – Kokomo at 1:00 p.m. and the host Racers at 3:00 p.m.
