Ursuline drops road contest 83-75 to Central State

In a close game on the road, the Arrows played the final seven minutes of the contest with only four players on the floor, and despite that they lost the second half to Central State (10-8) by only a point in their 83-75 loss on Tuesday night.

The Arrows (6-13) came into the game knowing each of its available players would play all 40 minutes, or at least as long as the could stay out of foul trouble. With seven minutes left in the game, a scorers table mistake gave a fifth and final foul to Brooke Trauthwien - which caused Ursuline to try and pull off the upset with just four players.

Leading the way, Laura Campbell scored a game-high, season-high, and career-best 37 points. Katie Cappello scored 20 points, while tying for the team lead in rebounds with nine. Natalie Cook also pulled down nine rebounds, while Campbell had seven rebounds. Cook also led the team with five assists, three blocked shots and two steals.

Campbell's 37 points moved her to 919 career points, and she closed to within 46 points of fourth all-time in scoring, behind Tasha Mix.

The Arrows will return to action this weekend, again on the road as they travel to Malone for another Ohio Independent Championship game. The game will be broadcast on the UC Sports Network at 2:00 p.m., with pregame starting at 1:45 p.m.
