The Ursuline Arrows (6-10) dropped its road contest at Cedarville University, 73-46, on Tuesday evening. UC had two players with nine points and another two with eight players, but the Yellow Jackets had a pair reach double-figures in the victory.
Tyler Gassett and Laura Campbell each had nine points to lead the team, while Brooke Trauthwein and Brianna Woods each had eight points. Woods had a team-high eight assists, while Katie Cappello had a team-high six rebounds.
In the game, the Arrows jumped out to an early 9-4 lead, but Cedarville quickly answered with a 9-0 run to reclaim the lead for good. A minute later UC trailed by only a point at 15-14 when the Yellow Jackets sprinted out to a commanding lead, out-scoring Ursuline 27-9 to close out the first half.
Ursuline will look to rebound from the loss at home this weekend, playing host to Urbana University on Saturday, January 21 at 2:00 p.m.
