Matthew McMahon

Ursuline College Athletic Director Cindy McKnight announced the hiring of Matthew McMahon as the new Head Golf Coach on Friday, July 29.
 
McMahon was a player in the Canadian National Development program during his late teens and early 20's. 
 
He played Division I golf at DePaul University in Chicago where he won the 2004 Tillinghast Invitational and the 2006 John Dallio Memorial as an individual. The team as a whole won multiple team championships.
 
McMahon set the school scoring record with a 63 and at one point was ranked as one of the top 100 players in the country.
 
Since 2009, McMahon has played as a tour professional in Canada. He was a medalist at the first stage of the Web.com Tour Qualifying School in 2014. He also qualified for and played in three PGA Tour Canada events in 2014. That same here he won the 2014 U.S. Open Local Qualifier in Medina.
 
During his coaching career in Canada, he worked with numerous junior golfers to help develop their games and assist them in earning scholarships in the United States.
 
McMahon lives in Bay Village with his wife Kirsten.
