Nicky McCaslin

The Ursuline College softball team announced the addition of Nicky McCaslin to the coaching staff for the 2019 season.
 
McCaslin played collegiately at the University of the Redlands in California from 2006 through 2010. As a catcher for the Bulldogs, she was named an NFCA All-American in 2008.
 
She was named to the 2008 SCIAC Player of the Year and the NFCA Diamond Sports Catcher of the Year after she had 68 hits in 2008 which is still the second most all-time in program history.
 
Her .380 career average still ranks seventh all-time in program history while she is fourth in hits with 215 during her four years behind the plate for the Bulldogs. She also ranks third in runs scored with 151 in her career and third in doubles with 41 and fifth in RBI with 120.
 
In 2009 she was again named to the All-SCIAC First Team and All-West Region First Team. That season, the Bulldogs qualified for the NCAA Division III Tournament after winning 30 games in a season that featured a 20-game winning streak.
 
McCaslin earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Physical Education.
 
Ursuline begins the 2019 season in Tampa, Florida on February 3 when they will take on the University of Tampa in a doubleheader. On the trip, Ursuline will also play at Florida Southern University on February 4 in a twin bill.
