Kat Burbrink

The Ursuline College softball program announced the addition of Kathleen Burbrink as an assistant coach for the 2020 season.

She joins Hawley Ill who joined head coach Sue Woodford’s staff earlier this summer.

Burbrink is no stranger to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference after she completed her playing career at Trevecca Nazarene in 2018. After she was done playing, Burbrink joined the Trojans coaching staff last season.

In her career, she played in 205 games at TNU while starting 194 in the outfield. She finished her career with a .985 fielding percentage while committing just three errors. At the plate, she batted .317 in her career.

She was a First Team All-Conference selection in 2015-16 and a Second Team selection in 2018-19. The Trojans won the G-MAC in 2015 and 2016 and qualified for the NCAA Tournament with an at-large selection.

Last season, after joinining the coaching staff, the Trojans batted .356 as a team which was a new G-MAC record. TNU led the conference in hits, doubles, RBI, and home runs.

Burbrink played high school softball at Lakota West High School where the team qualified for the State Final Four during her freshman season.
