North Hastings High School: Began her track career during her graduating year of high school under the coaching of Brian Poste and stayed an extra year in high school to gain more track training and collect some extra credits...managed to set a new personal best in the 400 meter hurdles each time she stepped onto the track...participated in rugby all five years of high school and was a two-time team captain…earned both the Coaches Choice Award and Utility Player Award during this time...also was on the wrestling team for three years where she won many medals…honored as an Outstanding Female Wrestler in 2014...placed sixth in the 47.5 kg weight class at the 2014 OFSAA Wrestling Championships…received the Senior Athlete Coaches Choice Award in 2014.

Personal: Born August 14, 1995 in Bancroft, Ontario, Canada…daughter of Jim and Cathy Hicks…has an older brother, Phillip…intends to major in adolescent/young adult education for language arts...earned academic honors throughout her high school career.
