Ursuline College Athletics

2012: Named to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference second team and earned first team All-Ohio accolades from the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association…started all 17 matches and played both left and center back…led a defense that allowed 0.99 goals per game and posted five shutouts.

2011: Appeared in five matches and made three starts before her season ended due to a knee injury.

2010: Suffered a concussion towards the middle of the season but still played in 12 games for the Arrows...primarily played defense but collected one goal against Thiel.

2009: Started 18 matches for the Arrows…scored three goals and added three assists for a total of nine points on 14 shots…had one multi-goal game against Carlow on Oct. 13 when she scored two goals.

Madison Comprehensive High School: Earned four varsity letters at Madison Comprehensive…led her team in scoring during the 2008 season…team’s Defensive ‘Most Valuable Player’ for the 2009 season… first team All-Ohio Cardinal Conference and first team all-district as a senior…second team All-OCC as a junior…also earned two varsity letters in track.

Personal: Born February 8, 1991 in Mansfield, Ohio...daughter of Bret and Becki Shanks…majoring in interior design…member of the National Honor Society.
