Ursuline College Athletics

2013: Chosen by head coach Chris Klampe as the team’s ‘Newcomer of the Year’…finished the year with a 2-9 record in singles play…was 0-2 in both the third and fourth slot but compiled a 2-5 record in fourth singles…both of her wins came against Central State University…in the first match against the Marauders (April 12), she beat her opponent 6-1, 6-0…finished the year strong with an 8-0 win over CSU’s Shakeira Lang on April 20…was 0-6 in third doubles play with senior Erin Burke and she also lost a match at second doubles while playing with junior Ashley Reinhart.

Riverside High School: Played for coach Scott Bailis her first three seasons and Nick Bole during her senior campaign…earned three varsity letters and was named MVP of the team after her senior season…honorable mention All-Premier Athletic Conference performer in 2010 and 2012…recognized as a ‘Scholar-Athlete’ for her work on the court and in the classroom.

Personal: Born September 29, 1993 in Painesville Township, Ohio…daughter of Lynn and Kimberly Wayts...has three sisters: Marissa, Erica and Christa…majoring in fashion merchandising...volunteers as a youth tennis coach…Dean's List student at Ursuline College…has served on four mission trips through Painesville Baptist Church.
