UC Volleyball Raises Over $500 at Dig for the Cure

Pepper Pike, OH--The Ursuline College volleyball team raised $519 for Cleveland Clinic's Beachwood Breast Cancer program during its annual Dig for the Cure game on October 3 against Lake Erie College.

As part of the event, the Arrows sold raffle tickets for six themed baskets and pink ribbons displayed throughout the concourse to raise funds and awareness for breast cancer.

Additionally, athletes and coaches from both teams were invited to write the names of loved ones they wished to honor. The names were displayed in the gym throughout the game, creating a meaningful tribute to those whose lives have been touched by breast cancer.

Through these efforts, the Arrows raised $519 to donate to Cleveland Clinic's Beachwood Breast Cancer program, supporting a cause that has affected countless individuals and families.

"We love our Dig Pink Day! It's an opportunity to raise awareness, celebrate survivors, and honor those who have lost their lives to breast cancer," said Head Volleyball Coach Rachel Tolbert. "Our girls always do a wonderful job putting together themed baskets to help raise money for Cleveland Clinic."

Tolbert continued, "This day is especially meaningful because it allows us to play for a cause that touches nearly everyone in some way. It's bigger than volleyball. Thank you to our community for spreading awareness and support the fight against breast cancer!"
