GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS:
  • The Cavaliers had the Arrows chasing them after they tallied four runs in the first two innings.
  • Bri Bowles came into pitch at the top of the third, leaving one runner on base with zero hits and zero runs.
  • At the bottom of the third with the bases loaded, Christina Dalton hit a hard drive through center field which had Heidi Earl and Nikki Brant-Badillo scoring. An overthrow by the centerfielder left an opportunity for Holly Earl to run home and Dalton to grab another base. Three runs were scored on the play.
  • The Arrows let up two more runs in the fourth from Walsh before Bogden and Barton put themselves on first and second with singles.
  • Evy Vallejo drove a double to center field which tallied two RBI's, bringing the score within one.
  • After holding the Cavaliers off for two innings, Holly Earl singled with Barton on second to tie the game.
  • Ashlee Mclean came in to pinch run before Heidi Earl sent to double to center field to score the Arrows final winning run, 7-6.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS:
  • After a scoreless first inning, the Cavaliers put the first two runs on the board off two doubles.
  • Macy Searles stepped into pitch for the Arrows for the last batter, forcing them out of the inning.
  • At the bottom of the second, Dalton and Mazzocca singled to put runners on base. A sacrifice fly from Ramirez advanced our runners before Bogden stepped up to hit an RBI single on Dalton's run.
  • With two runners still on, Evy Vallejo singled to center field to record two RBI's on runs from Bogden and Mazzocca.
  • The Arrows three runs would be the final scoring plays of the game as Searles proceeded to allow just two hits in the final five innings.

DOUBLE HEADER TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Evelyn Vallejo had a standout day at bat with 4 RBI's and 3 hits on 7 at bats.
  • Kaitlyn Mazzocca had 22 putouts at first base in addition to her two hits and one run.
  • Catcher, Christina Dalton, also had a big day for UC with 9 putouts defensively. At bat, she recorded 2 RBI's, 2 hits and 1 run on 7 ABs.
 
UP NEXT:
  • The Arrows compete next against Ohio Dominican University. Game date and time are tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 26th at 1 & 3 PM.
