SCORES:  GAME ONE - Arrows – 1, Eagles - 0 , GAME TWO – Arrows 8, Eagles - 3
LOCATION: Ashland, OH
 
GAME ONE HIGHLIGHTS:
  • A scoreless six innings had the Arrows seeing a hit in the first, fourth and sixth innings.
  • In the second and sixth inning, Wack had a quick three outs with three batters in and out.  
  • At the top of the seventh, Nikki Brant-Badillo pinch hit for Angeleah Saltenis. She doubled to center field and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Heidi Earl.
  • Jaden Seay notched an RBI the very next hit when she reached on a fielders choice and Brant-Badillo scored.
  • The Arrows held the Eagles off in the bottom of the 7th to lock in the win.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS:
  • With the Arrows hot off their win, they carried the momentum into game two. After a scoreless two innings, they went on a hitting spree in the third.
  • Holly Earl singled to center field to start it off, followed by Christina Dalton reaching on a successful bunt.
  • Brant-Badillo reached first on an error by the third basemen to load the bases.
  • After the Arrows forced a pitching change, Heidi Earl reached on a fielders choice as Holly Earl was thrown out at home.
  • Jaden Seay singled to tally two RBI's scored by Brant-Badillo and Daton. Ivanney Ramirez followed up with an RBI single to the short stop to send Heidi Earl in the for the third run.
  • A sacrifice fly from Bogden had Seay scoring the fourth and a single from Barton sent Ramirez scoring the fifth.
  • Holly Earl hit a double the next play to tally two RBI's by Evy Valljo and Barton's runs.
  • With seven runs on the board, Ashland scored two runs before Holly Earl hit yet another single to tally her third RBI of the game on Barton's run.
  • Ursuline held the Eagles off to put just one more run on the board to complete their double-header sweep.

  • Runners left on base: Arrows – 10, Eagles – 9

DOUBLE HEADER TOP PERFORMERS:
  • Holly Earl tallied 4 hits and 3 RBI's on 8 at-bats. Defensively at third base, she had 2 putouts and 5 assists.
  • Jaden Seay also had 3 RBI's, 2 hits and 1 run on 6 at-bats. She had 14 put outs at first base.
  • Casey Barton tallied 2 runs, 3 hits and 1 RBI on her 7 ABs.
 
UP NEXT:
  • The Arrows return home this week on Tuesday, April 15th. They take on Cedarville University at 3:00 and 5:00 pm.
