The Arrows softball team is busy competing at the USSSA Space Coast Complex this week in Melbourne, Florida. From March 6
th through March 14
th, Ursuline will compete in 12 games against Division II competition from across the country.

The first six games just finished up, including games against Gannon University, University of Bridgeport, Columbus State University, Bloomfield college, and two versus Goldey-Beacom College. The Arrows had many hard fought games but saw their first win of the season on Sunday versus Bloomfield College.

The Arrows won 8-0 in the fifth inning run rule ending. Freshman,
Holly Earl, led the way going 4-4 at bat, tallying 3 RBI's.
Casey Barton had two runs and two RBI's in addition to her two put outs in right field.

On the pitching mound,
Kathleen Wack allowed just one hit on 16 at bats. She tallied three strikeouts in the five innings pitched.

Ursuline fell to Goldey-Beacom (3-8) and Gannon (1-6) on day one in Florida. On day two they dropped two again, Bridgeport (2-6) and Columbus State (6-10). After their 8-0 win against Bloomfield on day three, they fell in their rematch to Goldey-Beacom (2-5).

The Arrows take on D'Youville University, West Chester University, Ferris State University, Saint Anselm College, and two games aganst University of Minnesota Crookston in their final six games. Stay tuned for updates!
