The Ursuline College STUNT team celebrated two seniors,
Nora DeKemper and
Angelina Fornaro, on Sunday. The Arrows hosted a tri-match with G-MAC opponents, Walsh and Tiffin, and split 1-1.
In the Arrows first game versus Walsh, they took an early 2-0 lead in the first quarter and held onto it the entire game. UC scored in each round in the third quarter as well as both rounds in the modified fourth quarter. The Arrows took down the Cavaliers 14-4.
Five athletes had a 25 power rating including Burgess, Rodriguez, Diekman, Piwinski and Zarzour. Isabella Congris was closely behind with 21.
The Arrows had an exciting team first in the Tiffin game, performing and scoring in partner stunt routine four for the first time. They also had many previously modified skills added into their routines. Despite their 8-19 loss, the Arrows had six scoring routines, three of which came in the team routines quarter.
Head Coach,
Tracy Zarzour was proud of her team's performance on the mat during both games. She commented "This team has grown so much this season. Every game we play, we are building confidence. The positive culture, encouragement, and support within the team is the backbone to each of our success'. Our Seniors, Captain
