The Ursuline College soccer team opened GMAC play on the road this Thursday in a match up against Cedarville University. The Yellow Jackets came out on top after a hard fought game by both teams, 2-1. 

Cedarville controlled the pace of the first half, firing off 11 shots compared to UC's two shots. Senior Keeper, Kathy Reich made six saves in the first 33 minutes of play before letting up the Jackets first goal of the game off a rebound. The Arrows went into the half trailing 0-1.

UC quickly turned things around after the break and came out fighting. After three solid shots from the Arrows, Alexis Biery made a pass to Fiona Rombach 20 yards out. Rombach shot and scored in the upper 90, the first goal of her collegiate career. Both teams fought to gain the lead and in the final two minutes of play, the Yellow Jackets sealed their fate with a game winning goal. 

Cedarville outshot Ursuline 18-10 with 11-5 shots on goal. Reich finished with nine saves compared to the four.

The Arrows return home this weekend where they will take on Ohio Dominican on Saturday at 12pm.
