The Ursuline College soccer team took down the Trevecca Nazarene Trojans on Thursday afternoon in a 2-1 fight.
 
Holding possession for a majority of the first half, the Arrows saw their first goal in just the first seven minutes of play. Fallon Joyce lined up for a corner kick and let the ball soar into the top right corner of the goal, putting the Arrows on the board early. A shot by the Trojans with ten minutes remaining in the half landed in the net but was ruled offsides, leaving the Arrows with the 1-0 lead at the break.
 
Trevecca picked up with their play in the second half, both teams fighting for the next goal. Joyce had a chance with a penalty kick but missed just to the left. Odessa Strizzi landed the Arrows second goal at the 57th minute to push their lead further. The Trojans had yet another shot in goal that was ruled offsides but continued to fight to get on the board. With four minutes left of play, they succeeded and brought the score to its 2-1 final. 
 
Kathy Reich had 7 saves for the Arrows as TNU fired off 21 shots compared to UC's 14. The Arrows had the edge on corner kicks 4-0.

The Arrows remain home to host Kentucky Wesleyan College on Saturday at 12:00 pm.
