The Ursuline College softball team dropped their double-header match up to Notre Dame on Tuesday, 2-6 and 2-4.

In game one, the Arrows scored the first runs of the game at the top of the third. Sarah Fessler tripled to right field, earning an RBI from
Savannah Hicks' run.
Devan Peterson was at bat next and singled down the right field line. Fessler ran home, scoring the second run of the game for Ursuline.

After a pitching change from the Arrows of Zientek for Rawling in the bottom of the fifth, the Falcons answered with three runs of their own. The first two runs were off wild pitches from Zientek and a third unearned run followed two hitters later.

The Arrows were unable to answer in the top of the sixth, with zero runs and zero hits before going into the field and allowing three more runs from the Falcons. Ursuline was unable to close the gap at the top of the seventh and ended the first game 2-6.

Game two opened with limited action from both teams. The Arrows let up the first runs of the game at the bottom of the fourth when the Falcons scored their first run and followed up with two RBI's from a homer to center field.

Ursuline answered right away in the fifth when
Kat Ferretti homered to left field. Shrader scored shortly after when Hicks grounded out to second base, earning an RBI. In the bottom of the fifth, Notre Dame added in an unearned run, making the score 2-4.

The sixth and seventh innings saw just two hits from the Arrows as they were unable to come back from the Falcons two run lead. They ended the game 4-2.

The Arrows face off next against Ohio Dominican University on Thursday, March 24
th at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The game was originally set for Saturday, March 26
th but was moved in advance due to inclement weather.
