The Ursuline College soccer team fell to visiting Kentucky Wesleyan 2-1 on a goal in the final four minutes in their home opener on Thursday afternoon in Pepper Pike.

The Arrows opened the scoring in the 22
nd minute when freshman
Kat Leeper found
Odessa Strizzi off the rebound to make it 1-0. For Strizzi, it was her first goal since 2018 after suffering a season-ending injury in 2019.

th minute, Kentucky Wesleyan tied the match on a goal from Bree Owen from a pass from Natalie Hinchcliffe.

The Panthers struck for the game-winning goal in the 86
th minute when Madisyn Hunt found the back of the net to make it 2-1 with under four minutes to play.

Ursuline outshot Kentucky Wesleyan 23-16 in the game and held a 6-5 edge on corner kicks.
