The Ursuline College soccer team took down Kentucky Wesleyan in a high scoring match up on Saturday afternoon, 5-3.
In the first half, Lidia Rodin scored at the 14:22 mark assisted by Hannah Pickens. 27 minutes later, Kelsey Lee found the back of the net off an assist from Fallon Joyce, putting the Arrows ahead 2-0 going into the half.
In the second half of play Ursuline kept the pressure on. Rodin scored yet again in the first minute of the half, making the score 3-0. At 52:27, the Panthers found home in the Arrows net making the score 3-1. Ten minutes later the Panthers scored again.
Ursuline put the pressure back on the Panther defense and from an assist by Megan Couthino, Kelsey Lee scored, making the score 4-2. At 82:48, Odessa Strizzi placed the ball in the penalty circle and took a deep breath before her attack. Goal. The Panthers would score again but it was not enough to overcome the five goals by the Arrows.
The Arrows travel to Findlay, OH to take on the Oilers October 14th at 1:00 p.m.
