The Ursuline College soccer team will travel to Cedarville on Saturday, November 9 for a Quarterfinal match in the Great Midwest Soccer Championships at 4:30 PM.

It will be the fifth all-time meeting between the two programs in the postseason with Ursuline winning three of the previous four.

The Arrows last victory came in 2017 when they defeated the Yellow Jackets 4-3 in penalty kicks to advance in the tournament.

Cedarville defeated Ursuline in the 2015 Great Midwest Championship 1-0 in a game played in Elkins, West Virginia.

Ursuline has appeared in all eight Great Midwest tournaments since the league was formed and has always advanced to five championship games including hosting and winning the 2014 championship.

The Arrows qualified for the tournament as the sixth seed after defeating Lake Erie College 3-2 on the regular season finale on Tuesday afternoon. Freshman
Hannah Pickens scored the game winning goal in the second half to send the Arrows to the tournament.

Cedarville has been the hottest team in the league over the last month, winning its last seven matches before tying Ohio Dominican 1-1 in the regular season finale on Tuesday.

The Yellow Jackets won the regular season match over the Arrows 1-0 on October 19 when Taylor Noll scored in the 83rd minute.

The two teams each attempted 21 shots and 11 shots on goal in an evenly played match throughout.

All-time, each team has won seven times and there have been three ties in the series that began in 2011.

The winner of Saturday's match will advance to the semi-finals on Thursday, November 14 in Dayton, Ohio to take on the winner of #2 Walsh and #7 Kentucky Wesleyan which will also be played on Saturday.
