The Ursuline College soccer team picked up a key 2-0 Great Midwest Athletic Conference over visiting Davis & Elkins College on Saturday afternoon.

After each team went scoreless in the opening 45 minutes, the Arrows struck early in the second half in the 46
th minute when sophomore
Jarah Froehlich finished a pass from
Haley Knox to make it 1-0.

Still holding the 1-0 lead in the 79
th minute, freshman
Theron Ruff scored her second career goal on a pass from
Odessa Strizzi to make it 2-0.

The Arrows were outshot 18-12 in the game, but each team finished with eight shots on goal apiece. Ursuline held an 8-4 edge in corner kicks.

Sophomore goalkeeper
Gina Cerny notched eight saves in her second shutout of the season.

Ursuline will be home again next Saturday at 3:30 PM as they host Lake Erie College at 3:30 PM.
