The Ursuline College soccer team battled the defending Great Midwest Champion Ohio Valley to a 2-2 tie on the road on Saturday afternoon in Vienna, West Virginia.

The Arrows fell behind late in the first half when Fernanda Araya found the back of the net to make it 1-0 in favor of Ohio Valley.

The Fighting Scots held a 1-0 advantage until the 53
rd minute when freshman
Dominique Buddenhagen used a pass from junior
Allie Moening to score her third goal of the season to even the score 1-1.

Araya and Ohio Valley answered right back just 12 minutes later in the 65
th minute to make it 2-1.

Buddenhagen's second goal of the game and fourth of the season came in the 79
th minute to make it 2-2 and force a pair of overtime periods.

Ohio Valley out shot Ursuline 33-12 in the match including 13-5 in shots on goal but sophomore goalkeeper
Gina Cerny notched ten saves.

The Arrows will be home on Thursday when they take on Alderson Broaddus in a 3:30pm start. Â
